Objectives of the Project:
●
Enhance the Capacity of communities
and systems (e.g. CPCs, SMCs, etc.) and increase leadership among families and
children to identify, report and take action for abuse and exploitation at
village level in 50 villages of 2 Blocks.
●
Notable shift in attitudes and norms
that do not perpetuate, accept, or allow indifference to violence, abuse, or
exploitation in 50 villages of 2 blocks .
●
Upgradation the system of Child
Protection to proactive measures to ensure timely justice.
●
Increase in economic resilience of
vulnerable families in 50 villages of 2 blocks.
●
School and community are safer by
ensuring that all vulnerable children (6-18 years) enrolled, retained and
receive educational entitlements in 50 villages.
●
Reduction and prevention of
re-offence through rehabilitative programs for survivors.
Major activities :
●
Conduct Baseline/Vulnerability
Mapping: Survey 50 villages across target blocks to identify vulnerable
households and assess existing child protection mechanisms.
●
Analyze Child Protection Status: Map
the status of child protection bodies (CWCs, CPCs) and related issues at
village, block, and district levels. Capacity building and handholding exercise
will be conducted in order to make these child protection mechanism active and
functional.
●
Establish District/Block Data
Collection: Implement systems to gather information on child protection cases
for informed interventions and support to families.
●
Conduct Stakeholder Workshops for
capacity building and coordination to make every child safe and protected in
the village.
●
Develop Project Monitoring System:
Implement a system to track project activities and maintain records at the
village and project levels.
●
Implement Awareness Generation:
Conduct widespread campaigns on child protection issues (child marriage, child
labor, child abuse) for the community.
●
Provide Life Skills &
Entrepreneurship Training: Offer life skills education to children and
parents/guardians, and entrepreneurship training with microfinance support for
vulnerable families.
●
Facilitate Livelihood Linkages:
Support eligible families to access government livelihood schemes (NRLM,
MGNREGA, PMJAY) and other relevant social protection programs.
●
Providing Micro enterprise
establishment support to the most deprived community members in the project
villages.
●
Enhance Financial Literacy: Provide
financial literacy training to SHGs and vulnerable families for better income
management.
●
Support Educational Entitlement:
Facilitate the enrollment of Musahar/Dalit children (especially from brick kiln
families) in school and provide support to access educational entitlements.
●
Running Learning Centres for 300
children in 10 villages with TaRL methods.
