Objectives of the Project:

●     Increase in public-private partnership to protect the vulnerable people at village and district level in targeted communities.

●     Enhance the Capacity of communities and systems (e.g. CPCs, SMCs, etc.) and increase leadership among families and children to identify, report and take action for abuse and exploitation at village level.

●     Upgradation the system of Child Protection to proactive measures to ensure timely reporting.

●     Communities are migrating in a safer way by building the capacity for safe migration and skilling.

●     To support the vulnerable communities in accessing the welfare schemes and also supported by micro-enterprise support.

 

Major activities and achievements:

 

●     Support and Facilitation to PRIs for maintaining register at Gram Panchayat Level of details of labourers who migrate to other states/districts to assist them as required.

●     Sensitize at least migrant labourers in collaboration with PRIs on how to maintain pocket diaries and share emergency contact numbers in case of distress etc. 

●     Provide immediate and long-term support to survivors ( rescued by the Govt. agencies) in accordance with the aftercare SOPs of Govt. i.e.counselling, career planning, medical care, and other rehabilitation services.

●     MGNREGA Job Card

●     Sensitization meetings  on (and related AHT topics) for government officials (from other departments specifically representing District Child Protection Units (DCPUs), District Administration, Labour Revenue Departments, Dhawa Dals, Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) and Government's Shelter Homes etc.

●     Conduct NGO training sessions on laws/ policies and SoP on children and women related issues such as  human trafficking, child labour, child marriage etc.

●     Awareness in Schools/Colleges, on child protection and women safety issues aligning with Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsaly and Nasha Mukt Bharat and Prahari club etc.
